With “Lockwood & Co” A new mystery project is coming to Netflix in early 2023 . The new young-adult fantasy series is based on Jonathan Stroud’s five-volume children’s book series, which was published between 2013 and 2017. Here we follow three youngsters in an alternative London who want to make a name for themselves with their start-up as professional ghostbusters.

In an alternative London, ghosts have been appearing more and more for 50 years and are becoming more and more of a real threat to the population. While most people cannot see the spooks, they can take damage from them.
Only children and young people are sensitive enough to see ghosts, which is why they are made for ghost hunting. For this reason, more and more companies have been founded in recent years to train talented young people in the fight against the dangerous epidemic. However, these are all run by profit-seeking adults.
Only the start-up “Lockwood & Co” is completely independent and is run entirely by three young people. Consisting of two boys and a girl with psychic abilities, the teenagers fight all sorts of evil figures. Then, when the trio uncover a dark secret in the course of their day-to-day business, the course of history could be changed forever.
Lockwood & Co: Cast and Production
15-year-old Lucy Carlyle is played by actress Ruby Stokes. She previously starred as Francesca Bridgerton in the hit Netflix production Bridgerton. Lucy is new in town and joins the small agency when she was originally looking for lucrative employment.
The boys’ other two leads, Anthony Lockwood and George Karim, are portrayed by Cameron Chapman and Ali Hadji-Heshmati. We’ll also see Morven Christie as Penelope Fittes, the head of the largest ghostbusting agency, and Ivanno Jeremiah as Inspector Barnes.
In addition, Luke Treadaway, Jack Bandeira, Rhianna Dorris, Paddy Holland and Hayley Konadu also have roles in the series adaptation. Joe Cornish is directing the UK production.
