James Cameron’s Avatar The Way Of Water New Trailer Coming Soon, Check Movie Release Date

It’s time to return to Pandora again! The highly anticipated new trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water will be released soon. And the sequel is going to look just as grand as its predecessor. Officially released on Wednesday during Good Morning America, social media users are getting excited about the comeback. The trailer released earlier in July on IMAX’s official YouTube channel also gave audiences a glimpse into the world of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). They are ready to fight to keep Pandora safe from outside forces. But it was only a glimpse of what was to come.

Almost 13 years since James Cameron released the first Avatar movie, he has spent the last decade making plans for the future of the franchise. It is to have four sequels. Of these, two have already been fully filmed. Avatar: The Way of Water, the first of four Avatar sequels is set to hit theaters later this year in December. The film will feature the returns of Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang.

The film has received high praise from social media users for its incredible visual effects. According to ScreenRants, much of Avatar: The Way of Water is shot underwater or near bodies of water. The sequel is set to introduce another Na’vi colony to Pandora and will revolve around Jake Sully and Neytiri’s family.

According to 20th Century Studios, the film’s synopsis reads: “Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and the children), the troubles that follow them, the efforts they make to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive and the tragedies they endure. Directed by James Cameron and produced by Cameron and Jon Landau, the film also stars Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement and Kate Winslet.

The much-anticipated sci-fi film will hit theaters on December 16. This comes a week before the highly anticipated Marvel Studios film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters.
