Currently, God of War: Ragnarok marks the history of playstation5 by becoming one of the biggest hits of the last machine from the Japanese manufacturer. And, more generally, the God of War license! Unfortunately for him, and even if he offers himself a divine launch, there’s another PlayStation exclusive whose popularity overshadows it. Today, it is another form of creation since Jackarte did not call on his drawing skills but on his talent as an expert in “demake”!

For a few years now, we’ve come across the term “remake” more and more when it comes to a title that brings an older game back to life, like The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening or even of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Conversely, we have seen the development of another practice which is that of “demake” and which the Jackarte channel is now offering us for the trailer of God of War: Ragnarok. The idea is to recreate the sequence as if it had been created, in reality, for an earlier machine: namely, the PlayStation. It’s a safe bet that even at the time of Sony’s first console, this second part will also have been a hit!
Fans of large polygons will be amused by this work which allows us to imagine the rendering of the game, as if it had been released almost thirty years ago.. Jackarte therefore resumed the crossing of the lake in a sleigh, Freya’s assault on Kratos, Kratos’ frantic race, the sudden visit of a mysterious character, the adventures in the company of Tyr as well as the appearance of Thor to give him the form of a cutscene from Sony’s first console. And he even thought of including the iconic PlayStation game launch sound at the very beginning of his video for a good dose of nostalgia.. In short, it is to be seen just above and you can even compare with the famous trailer from which it is inspired at the top of the article!
