Gleeson and Barry Keoghan earned nominations for best supporting actor. Cast includes Austin Butler, Tom Hanks and Olivia DeJonge. Butler also earned an Oscar nomination for best actor. “Everything Everywhere All at Once” A middle-aged Chinese immigrant takes on an adventure to save existence, exploring other universes and seeing the lives she could have lived. Cast includes Michelle Yeoh, Stephanie Hsu and Jamie Lee Curtis. The film’s 11 total Oscar nominations include best original screenplay and best original score. In addition, Ke Huy Quan was nominated for best supporting actor, Hsu and Curtis were nominated for best supporting actress and Yeoh was nominated for best actress. “The Fabelmans” From director Steven Spielberg comes the story of Sammy Fabelman, who grows up in post -World War II Arizona and dreams of becoming a filmmaker. A family secret leads him to discover how the power of films can show him the truth. Cast includes Michelle Williams, Paul Dano and Gabriel LaBelle. Alongside the movie’s nominations for best original screenplay and score, Williams was nominated for best actress and Judd Hirsch was nominated for best supporting actor. “Tár” This movie depicts the life of Lydia Tár, the first female conductor of a major German orchestra. Cast includes Cate Blanchett, Noémie Merlant and Nina Hoss. Along with a nomination for original screenplay, Blanchett was nominated for best actress. “Top Gun: Maverick” Maverick continues to push the envelope 30 years later as a top naval aviator, but his newest challenge is leading Top Gun’s graduates on a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice. Cast includes Tom Cruise, Miles Teller and Jennifer Connelly. “Triangle of Sadness” A fashion model celebrity couple boards an eventful cruise. Cast includes Thobias Thorwid, Harris Dickinson and Charlbi Dean. The film was also nominated for best original screenplay. “Women Talking” The women of an isolated religious community are faced with a brutal reality about their faith. Cast includes Claire Foy, Rooney Mara and Jessie Buckley.
