Who is in the cast of No Place Like Home?
While Jay Blades is the inspiration for the programme, he won’t be starring in the season.
The show will instead focus on a new bunch of celebrities taking their own journeys across the country.
Mr Selfridge and Sherlock Holmes actress Amanda Abbington will be travelling back to Hertfordshire, whereas former Death in Paradise star Ben Miller is heading back to Natwich.
Meanwhile, former This Morning presenter’s Fern Britton roots lie firmly in Buckinghamshire where she will be going for the series.
Invictus Games medallist JJ Chalmers is taking viewers to his old hometown of Edinburgh.
Presenter Victoria Derbyshire is going to Bury and Littleborough for the show, and football pundit Chris Kamara is travelling back to Middlesbrough.
Talking about the series, Jay said: “I’m so proud that my production company has made another series of No Place Like Home for Channel 5.
“After going on my own journey last year, I can’t wait for everyone to see these six celebrities discover more about the history of the streets where they grew up in this very special series.”

Is there a trailer for No Place Like Home?
As of yet, no trailer has been released for the new series of No Place Like Home.
Fans can get a taste of what to expect from the teaser that promoted Jay’s own series earlier this year.
In his own trailer, The Repair Shop star explained about his childhood in east London: “When I was growing up, I didn’t realise the impression Hackney would have on me.
“And what it’s done is allow me to become who I am. It’s still a big part of me.
“It’s one of those places where it’s only where you move away from it that you realise how much it made you.”
What is the plot of No Place Like Home?
The official synopsis for the series reads: “No Place Like Home sees [the celebrities] take a walk down memory lane returning to the neighbourhoods where they grew up, discovering the history that was on their doorstep all along.
“Each episode sees a celebrity learning more about themselves and the places they called ‘home’ as they explore the areas that made them.”
